Tollemache Breweries Ltd: Acquisition History
- H G & W Ridley (Ipswich): the brewery and 15 houses acquired 1890.
- Ranson & Sons (Stowmarket): for sale with 18 houses August 1896; bought by Tollemache Breweries Ltd who closed it.
- Taylor, Sons & Dowson (Diss): bought by Tollemache Breweries Ltd in 1897 and resold to Lacon & Co. Ltd shortly afterwards.
- Collier Brothers (Walthamstow): acquired August 1920. Brewing ceased in 1972.
- Unicorn Brewery Co. Ltd (Ipswich): wound up in 1923 and the 56 tied houses were divided equally between Tollemache Breweries Ltd and Cobbold & Co. Ltd.
- Robert Brassey Jones (Cambridge): acquired 1926.
- Star Brewery (Cambridge) Ltd: acquired 1934 with 119 tied houses.
- Stone & Sons (Tollesbury): acquired 1950.
- Ashby & Sons (Long Melford): acquired 1952.
- Cobbold & Co. Ltd (Ipswich): merged in 1957 to form Tollemache & Cobbold Breweries Ltd
- Paine & Co. Ltd (St Neots): acquired 1987 and brewing ceased.
