Having taken over Marston, Thompson & Evershed Ltd in 1999, the Wolverhampton & Dudley Breweries Ltd group renamed itself Marston's PLC in 2007.

Head office is at the former Banks's Park Brewery in Wolverhampton: Banks's Brewery (Wolverhampton).

In 2007, they acquired the brewery and small tied estate of Ringwood Brewery, Ringwood, Hampshire.
In 2008, they acquired the brewery and small tied estate of Wychwood Brewery Ltd, Witney, Oxfordshire.
In 2017, they acquired the brewery of Charles Wells Ltd of Bedford, although Wells retained its pub estate, and then opened its own brewery Wells & Co (Bedford).

In November 2020, Marstons PLC and Carlsberg UK merged to form Carlsberg Marston's Brewing Company Limited.
