- Dowsett Brothers, Reading. Acquired 1906.
- G Crake, Tamar Brewery. Acquired in 1919 with about 28 tied houses.
- Charles Absalom, Fordingbridge. Acquired 1920 with two pubs.
- Mackeson & Co Ltd, Hythe. Acquired by Simonds Ltd in 1920 and was sold to Jude, Hanbury & Co. Ltd in 1929, which came under the control of Whitbread & Co. Ltd.
- South Berkshire Brewery Co. Ltd, Newbury. Acquired in October 1920 with 150/200 public houses.
- Woodward & Son, South Lambeth. Acquired in 1924 for London offices and bottling; later Courage as a bottling plant and store.
- Johnstone & Johnstone, Tavistock. Brewing ceased 1927 when they were acquired by Simonds Ltd.
- Ashby's Staines Brewery Ltd. Acquired in 1930 with 333 houses including those 138 taken over by Ashbys from Wheeler's Wycombe Breweries Ltd. Brewing ceased in 1931.
- Newbury Brewery Co. Ltd. Acquired 1930.
- W. J. Rogers Ltd, Bristol. Acquired in 1935 and brewing ceased in 1952.

- Oakham Tops. Acquired by Simonds Ltd in 1939 as the last home brew pub in Truro.
- Bowly & Co. Ltd, Swindon. Acquired 1945 with 41 public houses and was closed.
- John May & Co Ltd, Basingstoke. Acquired in 1947 with 90-100 public houses.
