Northern Clubs Federation Brewery Ltd, Hanover Street, Dunston, Newcastle-upon-Tyne, Tyne & Wear.

Founded at Alnwick 1919 when Smart's former brewery was acquired but this was found not to be in working order so brewing was transferred to Hedley Street, Newcastle where brewing began in March 1921. Name changed to above in 1926. Short lease on John Buchanan's Hanover Square Brewery taken in 1927. Moved to the Hanover Street Brewery 1931.

New brewery opened at Dunston 1980.

Brewery opened 1980 Following move from above location.

In 2004 bought by Scottish & Newcastle who had announced the closure of their Newcastle brewery. They traded as Newcastle Federation Breweries until closed in 2010 by Heineken.
