Jarman & Wells

Jarman & Wells, The Bull Hotel, Ongar, Essex.

The Bull was a commercial hotel and posting house and brewed its own beer from 1855. William Cooper, also of the nearby Marden Ash Brewery, see:- Ernest Palmer, was the brewer.

In 1859 the partnership of Jarman and Wells is recorded at The Bull. The earliest record of The Bull indicates that in 1839 it was the Excise Office.
