George Henry Bradford, Moulton Chapel Brewery, The Wheatsheaf, 4 Fengate, Moulton Chapel, Lincolnshire.
George Bradford's obituary in October 1940 records that the brewery was established in 1801 and closed in 1927. During harvest times, they supplied the White Lion, Spalding and the Mermaid, Holbeach Fen, as well as the Wheatsheaf.
The Wheatsheaf was later taken over by Soames & Co. Ltd of Spalding, acquired by Steward & Patteson Ltd in 1949, and an old signboard at the pub advertises "SOAMES NORFOLK ALES".
