Merged with A.G.S.& T.S.Manning of Lewes 1895 to form [[Southdown & East Grinstead Breweries Ltd]]. and brewing ceased.  
Established 1844 by Charles Absalom acquired by Dashwood & Co in 1877.


Possibly restarted when Bear Brewery, Lewes, closed. A fire in 1912 damaged the bottling room. Premises sold to local UDC in 1920.

Dashwood & Co, Hope Brewery, London Road, East Grinstead, West Sussex.

Established 1844 by Charles Absalom acquired by Dashwood & Co in 1877.

Merged with A G S & T S Manning of Lewes 1895 to form Southdown & East Grinstead Breweries Ltd. and brewing ceased.

Possibly restarted when Bear Brewery, Lewes, closed. See Monk & Sons.
