Caledonian Brewery Co Ltd, Caledonian Brewery, Slateford Road, Edinburgh, Lothian

Formerly Lorimer & Clark Ltd, which was owned by Vaux Breweries Ltd.

Following Vaux's decision to cease brewing here in May 1987, it became an independent brewery after a management buy-out. Brewing recommenced in 1987 in old buildings.

In 2004, Scottish & Newcastle Breweries Ltd, having decided to close their Fountain Brewery in Edinburgh, took a 30% share in Caledonian and contracted for the brewing of their beers. This became 100% ownership in 2008.

It then came into the ownership of Heineken UK, who announced the closure of the brewery in 2022, with the brewing of the remaining brands being transferred to Belhaven Brewery Co. Ltd. in Dunbar.
