Caledonian Brewery Co Ltd, Caledonian Brewery, Slateford Road, Edinburgh, Lothian
Formerly Lorimer & Clark Ltd, which was owned by Vaux Breweries Ltd.
Following Vaux's decision to cease brewing here in May 1987, it became an independent brewery after a management buy-out. Brewing recommenced in 1987 in old buildings.
In 2004, Scottish & Newcastle Breweries Ltd. having decided to close their Fountain Brewery in Edinburgh, took a 30% share in Caledonian and contracted for the brewing of their beers. This became 100% ownership in 2008.
