Listed in 1800 as Thomas Arnold, who died in 1853. The business was continued by his son Thomas Jnr and son-in-law Thomas Halsey, trading as Arnold & Co. Halsey became a partner in 1876 and in 1884 control passed to his sons Arnold and William. Registered as Arnold & Co Ltd in June 1886 to acquire Arnold & Co and E & B Trimmer of Gloucester.
