The sitewais a recreation of a Victorian tower brewery in the old locomotive weighing house of the old Swindon Locomotive Works. It was purchased by pub owning group Burns Leisure in 1999 and for a period in 2000 took on the brewing of the group owned [[Hoskins Ltd]] beers.

Founded in June 1979 by Mark Wallington and ceased here in 1996 when the brewery moved premises.
