Brewing commenced in 1996 following the move.
The sitewais a recreation of a Victorian tower brewery in the old locomotive weighing house of the old Swindon Locomotive Works. It was purchased by pub owning group Burns Leisure in 1999 and for a period in 2000 took on the brewing of the group owned Hoskins Ltd beers.
