Acquired by Christie & Lucas, the wine and spirit side of [[Christie & Co. Ltd]]. of Hoddesdon, in 1929. Brewing continued for a few months. Silas Barker carried on as a beer retailer until about 1933.

Ltd. on 25th November 1946. They had transferred to the Star Brewery ([[William Wickham]]) in 1937 where they continued until 1951.
