Richard Lightfoot, Bell Bank Brewery, Brown Cow Inn, Ireland Bridge, Bingley, West Yorkshire.
The 1822 directory records that Moses Barber, victualler and maltster, was at the premises. The Bell Bank Brewery was attached to the rear of the Brown Cow Inn. The Foulds family were there as they appeared on the 1881 census. P H & M Foulds in 1894. In January 1897 William Ferrand sold the Brown Cow Inn with brewhouse to Mary Foulds, spinster, and Israel Foulds.
Richard Cowling Lightfoot and his wife Sarah purchased the Brown Cow with brewery, at auction in April 1921 for £4,550.
Brewing ceased 1925 when Parker & Co. Ltd (Haworth) acquired the pub. The Brown Cow was rebuilt and realigned with the road in 1930. Timothy Taylor bought the Parker estate of 7 houses in 1956.
