- David Keddie purchased the Caledonian Brewery, Canongate and Queen Street in 1894 and by his death in 1900 had transferred his business.
- Charles Allen "understood to have purchased" the Friars Burn Brewery in 1896.
- Owned by Thorp Brothers by 1910, who brewed at the Caledonian Brewery Co. Ltd.
