- Wigan's Black Lion Brewery, Braintree: 1898 with 8 public houses
- E. J. & C. Healey Ltd, Watford: 1898 with 15 tied houses
- Hawkes & Co, Bishop's Stortford: 1898 with 157 public houses, continued as a depot until 1987
- Locke & Smith Ltd, Berkhamsted: acquired June 1913 and closed
- Walter H. Pullen, Aston Clinton: December 1915 with at least 3 public houses

- Wells Watford Brewery Ltd: had 23 houses by 1947 but acquired by Benskins in 1951.
