Windmill, Main Street, Humberstone, Leicestershire.

John Underwood.

In 1870 Underwood was a coal merchant, whilst the Windmill was kept by William Bent, a baker and victualler.

In 1848, Joseph Bent had been a miller and maltster at the Old Windmill. Underwood then seems to have run the pub and listed 1877-1892.

In 1892 Leicester Brewing & Malting Co. Ltd looked to buy it for £3,000, but the purchase seems to have fallen through.

Part remains as housing.
