Windmill, Main Street, Humberstone, Leicestershire.
In 1848, Joseph Bent had been a miller and maltster at the Old Windmill.
John Underwood then seems to have run the pub and listed as brewer 1877-1892.
In 1870 Underwood was a coal merchant, whilst the Windmill was kept by William Bent, a baker and victualler.
In 1892 Leicester Brewing & Malting Co. Ltd looked to buy it for £3,000, but the purchase seems to have fallen through.
It had become an NBC property by 1902 and their property books mention the pub’s maltings.
In 1927 it seems to have been sold for £10,000.
Part remains as housing.
