Also owned other pubs in Bath including the Beaufort Arms, Princes Street.

Brewing ceased c.1902.

Owned by Sidney Fussell & Sons Ltd by 1924.

The Bear brewhouse was destroyed in an air raid when owned by Usher's Wiltshire Brewery Ltd, who rebuilt the pub in 1964.
