Founded 1891 by [[James Shaft]], passed to Whicher 1897 and closed in that year when Whicher bought the Cosham Steam Brewery from [[Portsmouth United Breweries Ltd]]. In 1906 merged with [[Charles Gillett (Hampshire)]] of the Buckland Brewery.
