Messrs. Wells & Co. New (Lion) Brewery, Watford, Herts. Brewers’ Journal 15th April 1902

Wells Watford Brewery Ltd, Lion Brewery, St.Albans Road, Watford, Hertfordshire.

Brewery built June 1890 by Ralph Thorpe.

Registered 25th April 1925 as Wells & Co. with 3 freehold and 9 leasehold houses. Had 23 houses by 1947 but acquired by Benskins Ltd in 1951.
