Brewery founded c.1840 next to the Borough Arms.

Owned by the Markham and Smee families. Purchased by Alfred Richardson in 1855.

Sold to John Huntley in 1885 then to Richard William Flick late of the Horseshoe Brewery, Banbury in 1898.

Failed to sell at auction with two on and 2 off-licences in 1913.
