Walmesley & Pye Ltd, 100 Church Street & Victoria Street, Ormskirk, Preston, Lancashire.

In 1881 Frederick Winkfield Walmesley, a maltster, financed by his mother, then joined by Peter Duckworth Yates. The latter died 1887.

Walmesley was bankrupt that year, partly due to unfortunate speculation in an Ormskirk brewery.

Registered as above in December 1904 to merge with Pye & Son of Longton.

Acquired by Hall, Hale & Co. Ltd. in 1906.
