In 1903 for sale as a freehold home-brewing house. Charles H Green in 1923.
Registered October 1896 as H&B Byrd Ltd, a subsidiary of the Albion (Burton on Trent), which went into voluntary liquidation on 25th October 1901.
 
In 1905 Henry Byrd opened the Model Brewery at the rear of the Vine. Acquired by [[Hunt, Edmunds & Co. Ltd]] in 1919 with 6 tied houses and closed in 1921.
