Established 1842. Operated as above from 1871. Registered 1894 to acquire James Porter & Son who was trading as Thomas Robinson & Co; Sykes, Porter & Co, Myrtle Brewery, Liverpool and Cook Brothers Ltd, Soho Brewery, Liverpool.

Re-registered in 1896 as Robinson's Brewery Ltd. to acquire Thomas Robinson and Sykes, Porter. Ind Coope Ltd. purchased the shares in March 1920 with 135 houses but did not take over until 1929. The brewery was closed at that point.

Site cleared 1968-70 for shopping precinct.
