Tabor and Jaggard, Fryerning Brewery, Ingatestone, Essex.

Robert Tabor and Samuel Tabor and Charles Jaggard were brewing in their timber framed brewery prior to December, 1802, when they insured the premises against fire.

By 1805 they had three public houses.

In 1870 William Raven was at the Fryerning Brewery, the same year that Thomas Raven, Dog Brewery, Raven was listed at the Wethersfield Brewery. The next entry is in 1882 for Stanislaus Havers who traded in his name for four years, the final three as Stainslaus Havers and Company, Fryerning Brewery.

The company owned:-

  • The White Lion, Fobbing
  • The Nag's Head, Brook Street, South Weald

The insurance description of the premises in 1802 were "timber built under a slate roof, malt and hop lofts, a Mill house, counting house and brew house adjoining a brick dwelling house and brandy warehouse."
