T King, Griffin Brewery, Parsonage Street, Halstead, Essex.

Mr King was brewing at The Griffin Inn and advertised in 1863 that his beer was "at the lowest possible prices and not undersold by any in the trade". Two years later a larger advertisement in the Halstead Gazette on 10th August, 1865, called for business from "Harvestmen" and acknowledged the support of his customers during the previous ten years.

His brewery was in the old malthouse behind The Griffin public house. It was King's brewing business which George Cook & Sons Ltd took over in 1885, but he evidently did not supply The Griffin public house.

T King was also a hop and malt merchant, supplying local farmers and estates.
