Founded by Oliver Stocken in 1769. Registered January 1899.  
Founded by Oliver Stocken in 1769. The Stansfeld family became involved from about 1853. In 1880, they invested in a new 50 quarter brewery, built to the designs of William Bradford. Company registered January 1899.  


Acquired by the [[City of London Brewery Co. Ltd]]. 1914. Ceased brewing 1928 and became a mineral water works.
Acquired by the [[City of London Brewery Co. Ltd]] in 1914. A large block of pubs was sold to Hoares in 1926. The Fulham brewery was closed in 1936 and the site developed.

Stansfeld & Co. Ltd, Swan Brewery, Walham Green, London SW6.

Founded by Oliver Stocken in 1769. The Stansfeld family became involved from about 1853. In 1880, they invested in a new 50 quarter brewery, built to the designs of William Bradford. Company registered January 1899.

Acquired by the City of London Brewery Co. Ltd in 1914. A large block of pubs was sold to Hoares in 1926. The Fulham brewery was closed in 1936 and the site developed.


The brewery features in The Noted Breweries of Great Britain and Ireland by Alfred Barnard published 1890.
