Brewing commenced at the back of the house in 1991.

In 1994 the brewery moved to above address.
During 1997 they went into voluntary receivership, but restarted less than a month later. Moved again in 2011 to:
Springhead Fine Ales Ltd, Main Street, Laneham, Nottinghamshire.
The brewery is in an industrial building, and there is a pub adjacent owned by the brewery.
