Robert Perry & Son Ltd, Rathdowney, Co Laois, Ireland.

Founded 1800.

Registered 1877.

Gained a Royal Warrant to brew ale for Queen Victoria.

A Guinness subsidiary closed 1967.

Registered as a limited company in 1877.

The brewery however, dates back in the hands of the Perry family to 1800. An ale brewer of great distinction who it is claimed to be the first brewer to chill and filter ale c.1900. Perry's N.D. Ale was quite popular.

Queen Victoria gave them a Royal Warrant to supply ale to her household. Perrys were purchased by Irish Ale Breweries who eventually closed them down in 1967.
