Possibly founded in about 1650 and was acquired by R H Randall in 1868.

Registered February 1929.

Sold in 2006 to a private investment company who moved the brewery in 2008 to a former sawmill off St George’s Esplanade. It has a small pub/hotel estate, and installed a distillery in 2014.

The Vauxlaurens site has been developed as a hotel.

Still trading.
