Plews & Sons Ltd, Vale of Mowbray Brewery, Leeming, North Yorkshire.

Founded here in 1795 by Henry Plews.

Acquired by Cameron & Co. Ltd. in 1925 with about 100 public houses.

Premises were later used as a bacon factory.

Plews & Sons Ltd, 4 Houndgate, Darlington, Durham.

Although listed here as brewers in 1905, this seems always to have been offices and maltings, which remain, for the brewery at Leeming.

The brewery features in The Noted Breweries of Great Britain and Ireland by Alfred Barnard published 1890.
