Brewing commenced 1997 within the site of the former [[Barnsley Brewery Co. Ltd]].  


Brewing commenced 1997 within the site of the former [[Barnsley Brewery Co. Ltd]]. The company built up a sizeable estate of tied houses, mainly former Greenall's pubs in the East Midlands and North-West England.
In 2013 RBNB which owns the brewery and pubs decided that they were not making a sufficient return and they started closing the pubs and brewery with all staff made redundant.


The company failed in 2013, when the brewery and all its pubs were closed. Some pubs were later reopened by Sam Smith's.
