  • C1853 The Bull, Olney
  • 10th July 1861 The Swan, Olney.
  • 1st November 1861 The Boot, The Bell, The Sun; all in Olney
  • 13th June 1867 The Cock, Olney
  • 1871/2 The Queen, Olney. Site previously 6 cottages bought by Hipwell for £350 in 1871 to build a public house for the railway trade.
  • By 1872 The Dolphin, The Rose & Crown, The Saracen’s Head, all in Olney
  • 1874 The Two Brewers, The Two Coopers, The Red Lion, all in Olney
  • C1874 The Duke William, The Duke of York, all in Olney

By the end of the 19th century Hipwells had acquired all the pubic houses in Olney except The Castle, which remained in private hands until sold to the Northampton Brewery Co. Ltd.

By that time to, Hipwells had closed three licensed premises, The Bell, The Dolphin and the Rose & Crown and later The Two Coopers.
