Groves took over some beer houses pre the auction of 28 July 1915. Some were not part of that auction and were held by the family, but the ones, along with the brewery (built 1876) were as follows:
- Yacht Inn, Market Street, Poole £1,000 (renamed Guildhall Tavern 1971)
- Coventry Arms, Corfe Mullen £1,000
- Railway Hotel, Station Road, West Moors £1,000 (renamed Mariners Rest 1971)
- London Brewery (off-licence & brewhouse), Christchurch - £700
