Founded in 1847 as a wine and spirit business in Priory Street. Acquired the Peacock Brewery in September 1895. Registered in October 1897.
Acquired by Wolverhampton & Dudley Breweries Ltd in 1943 with nearly 200 houses. The brewery's Bitter was brewed in Wolverhampton, but Hanson's Mild continued to be brewed in Dudley.
The brewery closed in 1992.
