It was the Brewers' Arms in 1835. In 1866: Thomas Gravett renamed New Town Brewery. George Gravett 1891-1923. [[Kemp Town Brewery Ltd]] rebuilt the pub in the 1930s. The pub was closed in 2014 and then demolished.
