It was the '''Tweed Brewery''' in the 1850s. It became Johnson & Co; then incorporated as Johnson & Darlings Ltd in November 1892.
Registered here in November 1892, though the brewery address was shown as Governor’s Yard.  
 
It became part of [[Berwick Breweries Ltd]] in 1924. The Tweed Brewery was reconstructed in 1921, and after the merger, brewing was concentrated here.


Effectively acquired/ amalgamated with [[Border Brewery Ltd]] in 1924 but to be worked as a branch under its own name.
