John Colpitts, Puncheoon, 133 Framwellgate Bridge, Durham, Durham.

John, shown as brewing in South Street, died in 1891 with and estate of seven pubs and on 26th May 1892 the inn was for sale with brewery.

Acquired by John Smith's Tadcaster Brewery Co. Ltd. 1892.
