“Fox Inn Brewery, 502 Wolverhampton Street, Dudley. Formerly The Fox & Goose, the inn was owned by Joseph William Wade from at least 1912 to c1940. He would not allow women on the premises. The inn was bought by Julia Hanson & Sons Ltd in 1946 and closed.

The premises dated back to at least 1819, when John Bunn was the licensee.

Richard Cromblehome had the premises by 1876 (then listed at 152 Wolverhampton Street) and Mrs Emma Fisher by 1896.”
