Construction commenced in the 1930s, but the pub opened only in 1948. A pub in art deco style by Lacons' architect A W Ecclestone. It retains a plaque with a falcon and 'LACONS' beneath. There were two falcon statuettes on the parapet, but these have been removed. Grade II listed.
