Dissolved 1893 by the retirement of Joseph Cooper, Arthur Hodgetts carrying on. Joseph Cooper founded the future J.Cooper & Co. Ltd. in the New Road 1895. Died 9 October 1923 leaving the goodwill to his wife and his son Joseph junior.
Joseph William Cooper referred to in 1930 as the owner and occupier of the Globe Inn, Peckingham Street.
