The brewery opened during 1994 under the name Hart Brewery Ltd.
For a period it was planned to relocate the brewery to The Cellar Bar, but another location was found.
In 2010 moved to Preston.

The brewery became a subsidiary of the Lancashire Beer Company on 10 April 2017.
Renamed Oscars Brewery in March 2018.
