George Shaw & Co. Ltd, Leigh Brewery, 31 Brewery Lane, Leigh, Greater Manchester.

Founded 1801. Registered October 1866 as the Bedford Brewing & Malting Co. Ltd. to acquire the business of R.Guest.

Name changed 20th January 1902.

Acquired by Walker Cain Ltd. with c.300 houses in 1931.

Brewery plant for sale in March 1933.

Demolished for housing.
