The pub was enlarged by [[Flint & Co. Ltd]] in 1918 and has a fine fascia with that date and sunken lettering: 'FLINT & SONS FINE ALES PORTER & STOUT.'. Formerly the 'Brewers Inn', the pub was later owned by Fremlins, and was given its current name in 1952; the name may be related to the Fremlin trademark.

The pub was enlarged by Flint & Co. Ltd in 1918 and has a fine fascia with that date and sunken lettering: 'FLINT & SONS FINE ALES PORTER & STOUT.'.
