Edward B Bucke, Donyland Brewery, 5 Maidenburgh Street and 5, Ryegate Road, Colchester, Essex.

Edward B Bucke was an agent for "The Banks Beer Company Ltd., brewers of non-excisable beer, ales and stout, brewed from finest malt and bittered with selected hops".

The premises in 5 Maidenburgh Street were referred to as the "Donyland Ale Stores" also the "Donyland Brewery, Family Ale Stores".

They were in business prior to 1835, at which time they proudly advertised "St George's Stout and Ale-red and white and blue,- brewed and labelled by us for many long years in honour of the Old Flag".

Bottled beer labelling was done for individual outlets, such as the Pier Hotel, Walton on the Naze.
