Daniel Fowler & Son, Boot and Shoe, The Street, South Luffenham, Leicestershire.

Postcards of the village show the rear of the pub, with a signboard stating “Genuine Home Brewed Ale”, with Elizabeth Fowler as the licensee. This would seem to be where from 1876 to 1895 Daniel Fowler was listed as a baker, grocer and beer retailer.

From 1876 to 1880 Donald Fowler was listed for the Boot & Shoe.

From 1895 they were trading as Daniel & Son and still retailing beer, but in 1904, the business was listed as the exors of the Fowlers and this seems to be the last entry.
