In 2023, Canada's largest grain wholesaler, Richardson, bought the Crisp Maltings company.
At the time, Crisp had five UK plants:
- Great Ryburgh, Norfolk (the largest)
- Ditchingham, Suffolk
- Mistly, Essex
- Portgordon, Scotland
- Alloa, Scotland
There were also plants at Hamburg, Germany (Tivoli Malt) and Bydgoszcz, Poland (Globalmalt).
