Cornish Brewery Co. Ltd, Chapel Street, Redruth, Cornwall
Founded c.1792. Registered February 1887 as the Redruth Brewery Co. Ltd to acquire the businesses of the Redruth Brewery Co. and W.C.Wickett of Penryn, see Sydney Hatch, Treluswell Brewery. 115 public houses.
Acquired by Devenish & Co. Ltd of Weymouth 1934 and name changed to Devenish Redruth Brewery Co. Ltd. 1960 and again as above September 1986. Devenish became a retail pub company only in June 1991 and sold off the Redruth brewery, which then re-opened under new management.
Brewing ceased at Redruth in 2004. Some buildings remain. The site is being developed for other uses (2017).
