J L Cockayne & Son, Owlerton Brewery, Capel Street, Penistone Road, Sheffield, South Yorkshire.

Founded c.1845.

Acquired by John Smith's Tadcaster Brewery Co. Ltd. with 27 houses May 1913 and started to dismantle plant.

However, this action resulted in a legal dispute.
